When the Royal Navy first started giving out rum rations in 1731, each sailor was given half a pint of overproof rum per day - this was quickly reduced once its detrimental effects were observed!

Black Tot 24-Hour Rum Festival 2020

On Friday 31st July 2020 we held a 24-hour-long live rum festival to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Black Tot Day. The celebration was full of enthralling rum discussion on a variety of topics and featured some fantastic panellists from all around the world.
